Hoover Dam's water falls to its lowest level EVER
The water level of Lake Mead at the Hoover Dam is set to meet its lowest level on record as California's megadrought leave millions under emergency rations.

On Thursday, Lake Mead's water level is projected to hit elevation 1,071.61 feet, sinking to it's lowest elevation on record since the 1930's, said a Bureau of Reclamation spokeswoman.

Thursday's level is about four feet below the level that would trigger a federal declaration of a water shortage which would cut water supplies to Arizona, Nevada and Mexico.

Arizona could have its supply cut by 320,000 acre-feet, Aaron said. That is a year's supply for nearly 1 million households, according to the Arizona Department of Water Resources.

On average, the dam usually produces about 2,074 megawatts, which is enough electricity for about 8 million people

Tuesday's capacity was just 1,567 megawatts, a drop of about 25 percent.

'Every foot of lake level decline means about 6 (megawatt) of lost capacity,'

How about a bit of truth. The earth has been warming since the END OF THE ICE AGE, which is not done yet by the way. then we swing back to cold.

It's is it is. When it is resources, it would be referring to its resources. I once almost lost a job because I corrected my boss on this in a legal document. She did not believe me. I feel sorry for people who are ESL, the rules are a bitch and not consistent. It's a bitch. See that is it is. If you were referring to a possessive it would be its bitch, i.e. The robot attacked the person and made it its bitch. I hope that makes sense. English is a bitch, no?

You're right. It's not natural climate change that's the problem, it's too many people for the natural resources to support. Then the greedy elite want to profit off it. They can spin anything into a money making scam.

Yes. Concrete is alive and continues to interact with water. Take the water out and the equation changes. There is a bridge in Rome that was built in 134, that still stands and is functional. Those Romans knew their concrete. It is the lime that keeps working, is my understanding but I am not an organic chemist.

Someone told me this a long time ago because I was on a swim team and a lifeguard and shit, always in the pool, but I couldn't sit on the edge of the pool ever. It irritated my skin/ made my thighs itch really bad. They explained concrete to me.

Those Westerners wanted people to move there - they were OK with the extra tens and tens of millions of Hispanics that flooded the area. They wanted people to come spend money in Vegas & build a film & tech industry so they could have the population to control the rest of the country. I guess they have to live with the mess they created.

Seeing as the lake is man made the records actually go back as far as they can.

With the earth still coming out of an ice age there should be more liquid water now than during any previous time in man's existence. The only issue I see is bringing it from places where it is abundant to places where it isn't in an economical fashion.

We transport all goods all over the globe but when it comes to the most basic item everyone needs we just wait for nature to bring it to us?
