What I cant get my head around is that once the first lockdown ended in the UK and schools reopened, the story was that the kids were super spreaders yet didn't need masks and could sit 30 to a class day in day out whilst we couldn't even mix more than two individuals from two separate households.

They closed schools when kids coughed. As a precaution. Because the teachers might get it.

Some key worker kids have been schooled since March 2020. No restrictions. No masks.

So the very group that haven't had to isolate are also super spreaders, don't wear masks and mix 30 different households every day even still now.

The common adult has to wear a mask, weddings no more than 30, limited numbers in shops etc.

The vaccine has been rolled out oldest most vulnerable first. Youngest not even an option.

So we are vaccinating at the same time as allowing the spread. Thats like running a bath with the plug out.

And that's not even accounting the fact that the vaccine does not stop you getting covid, and does not stop you spreading it. You might as well not have the vaccine, and do the same isolation as you would if you tested positive. The same they told us to do if you couldn't be tested but were concerned.

The vaccine offers nothing more than without.
