One of the most hazardous and harrowing driving environments was the DC metro area. I was living in Arlington and you had to REALLY pay attention and actively drive.

Then, I moved over to the other side for a temporary work project. I was renting an apartment in a much less congested area, right off the freeway. The freeway at the point was also a pretty easy drive.

However, I was living in a 90% black area. My car insurance skyrocketed and I called to ask why, explaining that I was now in a (seemingly) safer driver environment.

They said that there were far more accidents and thefts in that area, even though it seemed like easy driving to me.

And lo and behold, I actually did get rear ended by a black woman in the short time I was there, which proved their point.

And why is the cdc even looking into this?? Being a bad driver is a disease? And somehow racist?

Please note that the headline--"More likely to be injured"--does not match the actual report. All it says is that they are more like to visit the Emergency Room after and incident.

It doesn't matter how minor the accident, an ambulance will be summoned....

I'm sure we're not going to be racist for too much longer. It'll come to and end in blood like history shows. Does that mean I want it to happen? Does that mean it needs to happen?
