Ammo Shortage Shows No Sign Of Improving
comment: all you hard dicks that practice shooting with ammo that is in short supply, read this. Practicing to shoot is retarded. If you don't know how to shoot is another matter. But, if you know how to shoot stop wasting valuable ammo.

Ammunition inventories that were depleted during the pandemic are showing no sign of improving, according to Smith & Wesson Brands CEO Mark Smith.

Gun sales in the U.S. have soared over the past 15 months as people sought protection in response to the wave of civil unrest that occurred following the death of George Floyd as well as an increase in socially distant outdoor activities amid COVID-19 lockdowns.

Firearms enthusiasts also stocked up to prepare for the possibility of stricter gun regulations during the Biden administration.

GUN SALES HEADING TOWARD RECORD YEAR

The unprecedented demand for firearms has made it difficult for manufacturers to keep ammunition on store shelves......

"We Got Caught Off Guard": Winchester President Discusses Ammo Shortage And What's To Come

[link to www.zerohedge.com (secure)]

More than twice as many Americans have guns and do shooting sports than have golf clubs and putt on a green.

You wouldn’t know that if you are the coastal elite. But the president of Winchester Ammunition, Brett Flaugher, who lives and works in Illinois, says these recreational shooters are driving the historic ammo shortage in America.

“I've never taken anyone shooting for the first time who didn't enjoy it,” Flaugher told me in an interview. “I see it every day out there - the increase in recreational shooting. A lot of people were introduced to shooting sports during the pandemic. It started with wanting to go outside, and now it’s sheer numbers from the positive experience.” Winchester, which is owned by the Olin Corporation, has manufacturing plants in Illinois, Missouri and Mississippi.

There's something going on. Ammo shortages have been going on since what, Sandy Hook?

Over and over again, yet nobody wants to open more manufacturing plants.

I think it's starting to loosen up. I've recently gotten ads for fair priced pistol ammo, but I don't need any yet.
.380s for $19 a box, 12 gauge slugs for about a dollar a piece. Not exactly cheap but better than it was.

Re: Ammo Shortage Shows No Sign Of Improving
A gun should not be your primary long term defense weapon. Even if you think you have enough ammo now, when a time comes that you'll need it, you'll soon run out. And, if you have to evacuate your present location, you'll have to transport all that somewhere else, and safely too.

One of my favorite weapons is quite effective at stopping aggressive intruders AND it's not lethal. It's a powerful enough laser to blind anyone, humans and beasts. You can reload those with a portable solar panel. You can attach a variety of different lenses too. And it's good at long distances. Mounted on some powerful binoculars, and with a steady hand, you can blind anything headed in your direction. Once blinded, you can capture and interrogate them, or eat them, depending on what you just blinded.

For crowd control, a flamethrower can be quiet effective. And you can make your own flammable fuel, such as alcohol.

A crossbow is another weapon that's easier to manufacture your own arrows for. A slingshot can be dangerous too. Ammo for that is laying all over the ground.

There's many other possibilities too, but I've not the time or patience to list more tonight.

But know too that if you're using a gun for defense, that will make your enemy more determined to take you out, if only to get at all that ammo.

Think out of the box. Your enemy won't likely expect that.
