Unfortunately, she doesn’t have anyone to share her interest. I was a guest and had never met them before. Her husband walked into the room and I related a quick recap of the convo. Instead of showing interest, he just gave his wife a sideways half smile/half sneer, and she just looked away. It was clear that he regarded it all as just woo-woo whacko nonsense. When I left, she actually followed me to my car and thanked me for the discussion. She obviously doesn’t get much opportunity to meet with someone that shares her interest in that area, and her husband obviously frowns on it.

Being in that kind of situation is horrible. The path we follow is sometimes a very lonely one. Not having the people around you believe you or having them belittle your experiences can be crushing. That is why the majority of us just don't talk about our experiences.

I have over 40 years worth of experience interacting with ghosts, imprints, spirits. Some human and some non human. What do I do with that? I could tell you of personal experiences that I've had that would seem so unbelievable that most rational people would just dismiss them as the ravings of a lunatic. So why bother speaking? lol

People get wigged out when I tell them about shadow people, so I can only imagine how people react to someone at your level, G-Dub.

Our “downtown” is a typical old Americana street of 100 to 150 year old buildings. There’s a particular store in which I have twice seen an old woman very clearly, and she then vanishes. I told the store owner, thinking she would be interested. Instead, she nearly ran from me! Somehow, I’m the bad guy because these shadow people show themselves to me. I know she’s really into her church, so I’m sure she thinks I’m demonic to be able to see these “demons” in her store.

I’m fascinated by such experiences. I’m the guy that would sit up all night drinking bad coffee just to hear those stories.

When I was younger I was much more open with people about being to 'see' and hear things. Most people don't know how to react. Some people react like you described but I've found that more people are actually interested behind closed doors.

I could tell you things that would certainly test the bounds of your credulity lol

Edit: I'll just say this. This stuff is real. Reality is much more fluid and varied than what people have been taught to believe.

That is a necessary defense mechanism for those not ready. In truth, that is probably the safer route for most people

So just as “Beauty is in the mind of the beholder”, I suppose one could just as easily replace “Beauty” with “Absurdity”.

I grew up on an ancient Indian burial ground lol Every room in the house was haunted but mine. My sister would sleep in my room so she wouldn’t be messed with. My wallpaper when pulled up had backwards writing . I have stories upon stories. My friends got freaked out when they played light as a feather with me.

Belief is a powerful thing. Interacting with the spirit is second nature to me.

I think I may have told this story already a few pages back. I got a call from this family with a teenage daughter.

This girl and her friends bought a dibbuk box online that was supposedly cursed. They were going to do a 'mystery box opening' for some silly youtube video they were going to make. They had no idea what this thing was.

Anyway they get this thing home and all hell literally breaks loose.

Think of every bad haunted house movie you've seen. That's what this was.

Poltergeist activity. Things levitating. Lights going off and on. Doors opening and closing on their own. Phantoms and shadow people manifesting. People being punched and scratched.

The family, before they called me, tried to bring in a psychic. The poor lady pulled onto the property and refused to even get out of her car. She was there less than a minute and then turned around and left. She later told the family, and I quote, "Get the fuck out of that house. Tonight. Now. Forget your stuff. Leave and don't look back."

The psychic said there were no less than 20 inhuman presences in the house.

Anyway, it took myself, and two other priests to get rid of the presence(s) and it took us months to do it.

Probably one of the most intense things I've ever encountered.

One of the priests nearly had his head taken off by having a heavy glass ashtray thrown at him. Towards the end of the ordeal when we were doing the cleansing, we pissed this thing off so bad that it picked up a dining room table and hurled it into the opposite wall, leaving a nice sized hole.

Eventually, we got the place straight and the family could move back in.

I can imagine. My great grandpa was a healer for the Vatican. Ya know, I believe in spirit even more than physical. I have never thought that exorcisms were necessary in the sense they are shown. Like some shit show of fake-ness. Some Hollywood production. I’m sure it works. After all belief is powerful. Love trumps evil, because it heals.

You better believe that THEY believe in this stuff. I could write pages on the things the Mother Church does and believes.

If you ever get the chance, sit down with someone from the higher ranks within the Church and talk to to them. They know.

You may be surprised how much they actually know lol many are kept in the dark and controlled. The ones they can’t control don’t make it far in ranks.

I always respected the healers and both sides of mine participated heavily. Faith, is a beautiful thing.
