TY, I have been wondering myself why the vanir is not as talked about. Without them there would have been no magick. Except for the runes, and I'm still learning so please do correct me, did the runes come before or after the exchange between the aesir and the vanir? And in my current studies...christianity in it's pure sense is closer to the old ways than the thumpers will ever be able to fathom.

Black is still a party classic XD even when you have to wear a Cape over your wings.

Short answer: I'd have to check the 'ever reliable sources' for chronology, of which I am not certain is provided.

buuuut pretty sure Mimir's well became known as that at - the base of Yggdrasil - after his head was cut off and placed there. Which is after the arrival of the Vanir.

Buuut this apparently is not the same well (or is it?) :D There's confusion with names and kennings.

"Sigrdrífumál records that the Vanir are in possession of a "sacred mead"."

This is relevant due to:
Ordrerir refers either to one of the three vessels that contain the mead of poetry.

Note:
For Snorri Sturluson, Óðrerir is the name of the kettle in which Kvasir's blood was mixed with honey to create the mead.

Kvasir was a hostage exchange from to Vanir to the AEsir, so this gives a bit more regarding when Odin acquired his rune knowledge. If Kvasir's DNA was what made the mead special and Ordrerir is that same mead, then that means it existed already when Odin acquired the runes as he drinks from Ordrerir shortly after.

Sorry that's a bit scrambled, I'd have to do a proper analysis to suss out a 'definite' chronology.

More to the idea that it's the same well;
There's this whole thing about Odin fearing memory loss and thought (his ravens), Mim-ir potentially referencing memory, Mimir's well reminding him of the well of Urd, etc.

So that 'reminding' may well(lol) be that it is and he had forgotten.

"In turn, scholars note that the names Mímir and Mim are therefore likely ultimately to be related to the modern English word 'memory' and its associated concepts.[1] For example, scholar Rudolf Simek renders the name as meaning 'the rememberer, the wise one'"

Green witch hmmmmm, what happens in real life/or when your’e upset, when you or members of your coven, when someone makes you angry, for example I know a white witch who says she only ever does good, but she upset someone (an ex) and they put a hex on her, she became seriously unwell with her mental health, hearing voices and being commanded by voices to end her life, she tried to do good and talk to her (the ex) but she wouldn’t agree to any discussions, so she had to put a bad spell,hex on her, in retaliation. Unfortunately she is taking strong medication now antipsychotics and is regularly self harming.

I think you’re a very spiritual person, short term you may find all this witchy stuff great, long term it can effect your life in a very detrimental way. As Jesus says “I am the way the truth and the light, no one comes to the Father but by me”. Please don’t dismiss what I say.

One of the books from my childhood (really cool with holograms n such) deals with this directly.
Two wizards end up hexing each other through the power of their personal familiar spirits. Eventually it's their familiars that cease it all, causing the wizards to understand that repeated escalations serve only further harm to both sides.

This is a morality lesson for children.
Funny that a lot of politicians still can't grasp it.

In the end the wizards work together to mutual benefit and things were never better.

Well thanks for your concern. First, I'm not in a coven. I'm solitary.

Second, I've been doing this 'witchy stuff' since probably longer than you've been alive.

I don't practice black magick or work hexes or cast spells to harm people. I have done that in the past but only in self defense.

Doing any kind of energy work from a place of hate and anger is the last thing you want to do because it will boomerang back on you. What you put out comes back to you be it good or bad.
