Something(i) was keeping me away from the things I wish to be for me. And I ended up in a toxic environment that just a few days ago I started realizing was not real.

My island is of well being. My island heals, soothes, and is beautiful. It is filled with beautiful plants, flowers, trees and all of it is fruitful.

I create beauty to the eyes that sing to the soul.

If there is anything I can tell you or a few things you can take away from this thread, it's this.

There will never be a shortage of people telling you what to think, how to act and how to be. But you can never jump through enough hoops to please them. And you don't have to. Believe in no limits and that there is nothing you cannot be, do or have. Believe it passionately. Believe it even when everyone else does not.

If you can find the path to that, you've got it made.

What you think inward is what you get outward. The universe does not respond to what you want. It responds to who you are. The image you have of yourself. That is the big 'secret' about creating. It's never about the stuff you can get.

What I take from this thread is...

I want the universe to really know me, and respond to me. Not the me that is not me.

And to know my heart. And respond to it.

I want my vibration picked up by that that is true.

And this fake world has had my focus, and that has been my troubles.

And you have greatly helped me and now it feels as if it is simple, yet I'm reminded it's not easy as it seems:)

The universe knows you. The real you. Where we get mixed up is when we don't know ourselves. We lose our guidance. We begin to look for outside answers and validation when it was within us the entire time.

So this is really my "I am" lesson?!

The intent to keep us from knowing ourselves by focus outside "the know thy self" is just that.

To focus on self, no wonder we are so fuked up! All the happenings out side keep us from inside.

Before, I thought I was being selfish when I focused on myself. I am a very giving being.

I do for others before I do for myself.

And now I'm already making obstacles for myself. And there in plays the "it's harder than it sounds.".

There will be some work and discipline

There is nothing outside yourself keeping you from getting 'it'. The universe is not going to force something upon you are you aren't lined up with. Good or bad. The questions then become, "what am I focused on? What am I worried about?"

You taking responsibility for your thoughts and feelings and consciously directing them instead of reacting and thus creating by default becomes the work.

And yes it is work. It's a completely different way of thinking and at first it requires your effort to break old habits of thought. You are training yourself into a new reality.

As for being selfish. Yes it is. Nothing anyone does is a totally selfless act. Even being 'totally' selfless still gives you something in return. A feeling or a justification.

The only reason anyone does anything or wants anything is because they think they will get better or improve by having it or doing it.

It helps to think of it like this, you have to be selfish. Because unless you are selfish enough to take control of your thoughts and feelings, your reality will be what others create for you instead of you doing it yourself.

Unless you are 'selfish' enough to care about yourself and improve your self, you won't be of any use to anyone else.
