Extremely eccentric minor planet to visit inner solar system this decade
[link to newatlas.com (secure)]

The outskirts of our solar system is teeming with mysterious objects – and now one of them is heading our way. Astronomers have discovered a minor planet that’s about to make its closest pass to the Sun on its 600,000-year orbit.

The object in question is designated 2014 UN271, and it was only recently identified in data from the Dark Energy Survey captured between 2014 and 2018. Size estimates place it anywhere between 100 and 370 km (62 and 230 miles) wide. If it’s a comet, it’s quite a big one, especially for one coming from the outer solar system.

“[That] puts it on a similar scale, if not larger than, Sarabat's huge comet C/1729 P1, and almost undoubtedly the largest Oort Cloud object ever discovered – almost in dwarf planet territory!” says Sam Deen, a citizen astronomer, in a post on the Minor Planet Mailing List (MPML) forum.

But by far the most intriguing thing about 2014 UN271 is its orbit around the Sun. This thing is extremely eccentric, journeying between the inner solar system and the Oort cloud that marks the boundary of interstellar space over a period of 612,190 years.
 Quoting: NewAtlas [link to newatlas.com (secure)]

The fact that such a sustainable eccentric orbit is even possible implies something further. Would anyone care to guess the implications?

No one ever said freedom was safe. Upon true understanding of the concepts of freedom, you shall realize that freedom is the most dangerous choice of lifestyle. There are no guarantees in freedom but those one provides for themselves, at their own will. True freedom comes with extreme personal risk. Are you willing to take the risk?

I have no clue what it means, but it's REALLY cool. It also does raise the question, what else could be "out there".

Wikipedia actually claims that it takes 1.5 million years for the thing to complete just half of the orbit - not sure which one is more accurate. Either way, when it approached us the last time, our world was quite a bit different.

?????? The more I read the more it seems to predict quite accurately what is occuring in the world. Based on that, the future doesnt look good according to the bible.

Revelation 8:10-11 - And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

Revelation 8:11 - And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter

You can see the elite are as prepaired as can be for this. Imagine that, it's actually the satanists who screwed over humanity that get to save them selves. Only those who were greedy, eat people and worship the devil have an escape plan. What a society that would be left with them lot. Its astounding they get away with this, for the time being anyway. If I was them, I would desperately be trying to keep the saints alive because it appears that when we cross that threshold and they're eliminated, god begins to seek his revenge on the rulers of the world.

This is interesting.

I'm of the opinion that comets are fragments of a big chunk of matter that, for whatever unimaginable reason, disintegrated. This is either a large piece or it's an intact unit (of many) of cometary matter. There may be bigger ones. We should send some expensive probes to the Oort Cloud and make a detailed survey.

Too bad it's not going to slingshot around the sun like a standard comet would. A billion miles out, it'll warm up slightly, but the ion tail won't develop the way I'd like. But I don't get to make those decisions.
