Man sends lizard saliva to 23andMe for DNA testing, exposing total fraud of company’s claims of human ancestry
A man and his wife decided to test the accuracy of 23andMe’s at-home DNA testing kit by sending in a saliva sample collected from their pet lizard. What they found is that the whole thing is a sham.

In the following video, the man explains how after three months of waiting, he received anomalous results suggesting that his pet lizard is 48 percent West Asian and 51 percent Ashkenazi.

People who invoke "our democracy" really mean "their power." We are not now, nor have we ever been, a democracy. That's deliberate Communist word shifting. We are a constitutional republic.

a lizards genetic code is very similar to a humans.
more than 90%. if you switched it up without telling someone their own false expectations would probably cause them to force an inaccurate answer in an attempt to reconcile the disparity, and honestly it wouldn't be easy at a glance.
I really don't think that this is enough to discredit them based off of, it's like basically ruining someone's controlled experiment and then calling them a shitty scientist.

Sounds like BS. That's a shit load of saliva to extract from a lizard.

And then, the source is Mike Adams, so there's that.

I used 23 & me. to test it I didn't answer any questions about where my family is from or where I think I should be from. they got both countries right down to the part of the country. there's some accuracy to it

Re: Man sends lizard saliva to 23andMe for DNA testing, exposing total fraud of company’s claims of human ancestry
Both my parents did 23andme.

They connected to known ancestors.

Connected to distant relatives of mother, also, as I have lots of family ancestry data, for generations.

Step-mom also, and connected with a nephew she had known about when he was a baby, illegitimately born to her brother. 23and me predicted "nephew"-level relation, as expected.

So…valid results.

China is stealing your DNA with home ancestry kits:

During a recent hearing, Dr. Steven Quay explained how the process typically works. What people receive in the mail and use to swab their DNA is then sent off to companies that in many cases are based in China.

“So if you go on the internet and want to do a DNA test for almost anything on the internet as a consumer – and you don’t even need a doctor to sign – and you do a scrape, the specimen will very often go to a laboratory here,” Dr. Quay stated.

“But then it gets shipped to BGI, which bought more Illumina sequencing machines than any other place in the world.”

Illumina sequencing machines, by the way, are used to process microarrays. These are what supposedly determine a person’s lineage going back to the early days of the family tree.

“And so they will do the sequence there and they’ll send it back to the company, but guess what? They’ll keep a copy,” Dr. Quay further warned.

“And that’s what he’s talking about. So every time an American – not always, but many times – you will do what you think is a U.S. address and then it gets shipped to BGI.”

Since the results are made up and no actual genetic study is done, 23andMe depend on a marketing team and internet shills to sell their scam.

DNA Ancestry Tests Branded 'Meaningless'
The Telegraph

Customers are being charged up to £300 to learn whether they have links to famous people or societies despite the fact many of the tests are not backed up by scientific evidence, experts said.

The amount of DNA any individual inherits from relatives just a few steps up their family tree is negligible compared with the vast amount we all share from common ancestors.

It means any ancestral "history" identified by a simple genetic test is just one of dozens of possible interpretations, and to try to trace our lineage directly through our genes is "absurd", they claimed.

Private genetic tests have become big business in recent years, with many companies offering tests which claim to identify whether people are related to famous figures such as Napoleon or Cleopatra, or have DNA from specific racial groups.

A warning about the accuracy of the tests was made by the Sense About Science campaign group, which said "such histories are either so general as to be personally meaningless or they are just speculation from thin evidence."

The warning was backed by a number of leading genetics experts. Steve Jones, Emeritus Professor of Human Genetics at UCL said: “On a long trudge through history – two parents, four great-grandparents, and so on – very soon everyone runs out of ancestors and has to share them."

His colleague Prof Mark Thomas said: "These claims are usually planted by the companies that provide these so-called tests and are not backed up by published scientific research. This is business, and the business is genetic astrology.

Tracey Brown, Director of Sense About Science added: “Genetics researchers are telling us that you are better off digging around in your loft than doing a DNA ancestry test if you want to find out about your family tree."

DNA testing for population genetics is a scam. DNA testing can show you two living relatives that are close together (what you're describing), but that's it. They can't show you "where you came from" or "what percentage of this race or that race is your DNA". First of all, there is no such thing as geographic based DNA. DNA doesn't change based on where you move to. So these tests can't tell you anything about your ancestry.

What if, for example, you share certain genetic markers with another group, not because you recently split off from them/moved away from them, but because you've shared a common ancestors in the distant past? These tests can't tell the difference, not without an actual sample from the past.

Testing two living people won't tell you JACK SQUAT about how related they are if they're from the same genetic family. DNA is NOT like source control for programming. In programming, things like git allow you to keep track of code changes, each and every one, allowing you to see a history of modification.

THERE IS NO SUCH EQUIVALENT FOR DNA. You can't see all the changes that took place between your starting point and your end point. You can only see the beginning and the end. That's it. You can take large population samples and make statistical inferences, but there are no such populations of past people, so ancient genetics are not representative of their populations and can't be used as a baseline to compare changes with modern peoples as a whole.
