My friend has collected data on anthropometric measurements and all kinds of standardized tests for any number of organizations. She tells me that, in general, there's a connection between IQ and shoe size in women. She says women with bigger feet GENERALLY have higher IQ's. I thought she was kidding. She swore it's true. That may be because she wears a size 11. lol I can't find a thing about this "connection" on the internet. Part of me thinks it's bogus. Have you ever heard of such a connection? Here's the GENERAL breakdown, according to her. size 5 = 75-85 IQ size 6 = 85-95 IQ size 7 = 95-105 IQ size 8 = 105-115 IQ size 9 = 115-125 IQ size 10 = 125-135 IQ size 11+ = 135+ IQ

I heard that hand/feet size are affected by the steroids in our meat supply. The size of people's feet has really increased across the board in just a few generations without anybody being able to say they take those sizes from their biological background. My mate and I have average foot sizes. I am a 7 and he is a 9. How did we get boys with feet sized 13 and 14? Nobody in our families ever had bugs bunny genes. Are those boys smart? Yes. Are they smarter than we are? Why hell no!

There are no real studies that show any such correlation. A relationship between shoe size and I.Q., (probably thought to be so ridiculous that students wouldn't mistake it for real), has been used as a hypothetical example in many separate texts for teaching the subject of statistics. So, sorry to say, but you'll have to burst your friends bubble as I sit and contemplate what her false perception might say about her I.Q.!
