if you make it to the ufo museum, there is a treasure cove of a library tucked away to the right of the check in front desk, adjacent to the gift shop. if you have additional time in over all nm, i suggest strolling around dulce, white sands missle range, sunspot observatory (which has some lore in the ufo history/legends), check out the carlsbad caverns and the living desert reserve, the billy the kid museum ( where it was the jail that he escaped from), the smokey the bear town, and truth and consequences Hot Springs.
