Jury Duty and COVID Testing - Legal Advice
I was just issued a jury summons, and they are going to require everyone to get a COVID test. I'm just curious to know if anyone has gotten out of the jury duty by refusing the COVID test. They say I have to sign a consent form to take it. But if I don't sign it, does this mean I'm in contempt of court?

This is an interesting situation. Please keep us posted. I would refuse to consent. This isn't legal advice.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking of doing. I looked around online but I can't find anything regarding this scenario, anywhere. I figure it has to have come up at some point in the last few months.

Well that's it. Summon all unwacked to jury duty. Make the jab a requirement. Denial puts you in contempt of court. Put you in the slammer, no release until you comply. Then make you go to jury duty when released.
Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.

If the more I know, the more I know I don’t know, then do I truly know what I know because I know I don’t?

Make sure you make known — repeatedly — your interest in serving your civic duty, though you refuse to submit to a medical procedure. Just keep repeating that you are more than willing to serve on the jury.

That's what I plan on doing, but if I have no legal standing then I'd like to know that before getting too stubborn.

I just figure this has to have come up with someone here, so I'm going to bump it.

Where's the OP, how did this turn out?

Just got a summons myself, no mention of testing on the form, can't imagine they could require it?!

Not happening either way!

Nah, just throw everything they send you away. Nothing happens, and you can just go on with your life. That is what I did, eventually they stop sending things, they are only empty threats anyway and nothing happens if you just ignore it.
