Not make this up. NIH website even says it.

an excerpt:

These observations indicated that PPEs may be successfully employed as antiviral agents against SARS-CoV2. Therefore, this work aimed to assess the potential of PPEs to counteract SARS-CoV2 infection. We found that a hydroalcoholic extract obtained from pomegranate peels and its main constituents were able to inhibit the binding between SARS-CoV-2 S glycoprotein and ACE2 in vitro, suggesting a potential of the extract in the prevention of SARS-CoV-2 entry into host cells. Moreover, PPE compounds inhibited the virus 3CL protease, indicating a potential use of the extract as a natural remedy to enhance protection against SARS-CoV-2.

another excerpt:

the binding of SARS-CoV-2 S protein to human ACE2 remains the main route of the virus's access to the cells and more directly related to the subsequent levels of infectivity

I trust people on GLP are intelligent (many, not all). The writing is on the wall. This stuff may be as close as you are going to get for a NATURAL prophylaxis to SARS-COV2.

This page has more info.

excerpt:

Natural compounds could yield effective and safe antiviral therapeutics and have been reported for many decades. Compounds like glycyrrhizin show inhibition of the ACE2 receptor. However, they may also produce incomplete occlusion of the RBD contact motif, thus preventing spike-ACE2 binding.

Synthetic inhibitors of ACE2 binding like N-(2-aminoethyl)-1 aziridine-ethanamine (NAAE) also show the same behavior. The antibiotic dalbavancin both binds ACE2 and inhibits spike-ACE2 binding, and effectively inhibited infection by this virus in mouse and non-human primate models.

Pomegranate peel extract also showed 74% inhibition of this interaction, and blocking of viral entry into human kidney cells in culture.

Dandelion extract moves beyond this, with potent inhibition of spike-ACE2 binding, confirmed by inhibition of ACE2-cell surface binding in two different human cell lines.

We know things intuitively, without being able to pinpoint why, and without detailed knowledge of the subject at hand. We are usually right, and we usually know it.
