Why doesn't the left care about what's going on in Cuba right now?

The Cuban people have been oppressed for decades. Speak out against the government and face violence, torture, imprisonment or death.

Lefties don't want to admit there are any problems which weren't caused by the embargo. Too bad they know nothing about Cuba's history. Cuba fed much of the western hemisphere and its own people, on its own, pre-Castro. Why is everything frozen in time there, the people looking weakened, bloated from starvation?

The leaders keep everything for themselves while they force everyone except the tourists & elites to give up their food and take over industry for their own benefit with no oversight or representation by the people.

Obama ended wet-foot dry-foot. He couldn't even use ending the embargo as a bargaining chip to get them to hold free elections or release political prisoners. What a failure and a letdown. Now we know it's because he and his ilk are crypto communists who love this kind of chit and own a Che t-shirt or two.
