My knowledge was powerless and my enlightenment was foolish. Pride ruled and sadness gripped my heart. Walls and contention were all I could do to survive.

In a moment, God changed that. A peace and joy is growing inside me. Walls have been torn down, contention has been replaced by grace. Love and affection have replaced coldness and distance.

God's power is immense. His love is unconditional. I have lost so much and the pain tears my heart, but I have gained so much more.

Psalm 118:5–8: From my distress I called upon the Lord;

What can man do to me?
7 The Lord is for me among those who help me;

No need to postulate a timeline shift. Such is the transformative power of faith in Christ. Yes, it’s a dramatic change. But of course it would be. That’s the point of it all.
