I get a huge feeling of foreboding about this.

Meanwhile there is not enough police presence in high traffic areas. Sigh. I live on Maui but fly into Honolulu at least twice a month to stay with my boyfriend who lives in Waikiki. When masks were still mandated outside there were cops everywhere making over time moolah. When it was found out there was a massive uproar over how much they were making to stand on a street corner and tell people to mask up. Now you can't find a cop nearby for help.

2 weeks ago in broad day light I was walking to the nail salon in Waikiki down Kalakaua Ave and getting ready to turn onto Lewers when a guy was off his rocker yelling at people. I made no eye contact and went as far opposite of the sidewalk as I could but yep here he comes saying this while looking at me "And this blonde b*tch here... I will grab her hair and beat her head in and you don't want to know where I will drag her off to." Sigh. He didn't touch me and was going off on anyone he encountered on the sidewalk. I was emotionally spent by the time I got to the salon. This was in the area where the luxury shopping begins on the main strip. It just gets worse and worse every time I go over. Last time I tried to eat at Ala Moana Center at the food court a homeless man yanked my plate away from me before I could even take my 1st bite.

Money spent on this robot dog is a waste but welcome to Hawaii. A liberal ran third world banana republic. My boyfriend is an attorney in Honolulu and that is what he calls it every day.

Man if they have any copper in them the ice heads will have them stripped in minutes. Lol. But for real.

I live on the Eastside of Maui but before that up in Kula.

We have it pretty good here with no homeless, on the Eastside anyway.

The worst part is Carnegie Mellon MIT and etc have actually perfected very high speed walking robot (and hybrid locomotion, think legs with wheels for feet) movement on the cheap because of this.

Their cheetah bot of death may make another appearance soon and if it does it will be able to out accelerate most cars from a stop to 30+ mph and be able to easily run down a human on a bicycle and even many motorcycles.
