The flock is still free to do what they want. In a plague why not have the people stay home and open the Church to on-line sermons and 'chit-chat' between the flock. Retired professionals are bored to almost suicide stage, jobs 1 hour and under would be right up their alley.
No talking in-line, put your number on your sleeve and the whole lineup can be texting each other. I would suggest that for vehicles, that would just increase the number of accidents and shootings.
