 is crypto mining? And why the hell do they need so much juice? Yeah, go ahead and call me gramps or some shit but I have zero interest in investing in thin air on some gamble to get rich playing someone else's game of chance. Mining is just slang for basically processing a transaction on a crypto network. It takes a lot of computer power to do this. Dont ask why it takes this much power as you really don't want to learn why anyway. Just trust me. Soon most of these systems will be updated to use basically no power and will become very cheap. At this point is when everyone will start using them unless they get banned.
