How can people think Roth was a good singer and that Hagar sucks? Roth not bad. Hagar has a great tone, great range and his voice is incredibly listenable.

I've noticed that many fans of early VH hate Hagar just because he is a better singer. It is a weird phenemenon.

Re: Eddie Van Halen. Could He Play Piano?
Both of his parents were accomplished musicians, his Mother a Dutch jazz musician who could play several instruments one of which was the piano.

Many musicians can play several instruments. The piano or keyboards which Eddie was known to play is truly instrumental in writing music as it's capable of great versatility. It's a acoustic string instrument but often classified as a percussion instrument as the strings are hammered.

It can play chords and notes loud or soft and can produce two or even more lines of music at the same time which is why it is used by many song or melody writers.

Eddie said his family immigrated to the US with 50 dollars and a piano. I am sure this has something to do with the Mandela effect but why would he not be proficient on another string instrument ?
