Please give me a real 80s pop song that you think is better than "Blinding Lights." That would have been probably a top 50 pop song of the entire 80s in my opinion.

I chose a random song by them from the 80s. "Gusto Blusto"

It's so uncreative, boring, and trite. Musically it's cookie cutter. This was a single, and it sounds like a filler song. It's a lot less than a filler song by a great 80s band like INXS. I don't find it enjoyable or memorable at all.

"Blinding Lights" is much better than "Take on Me." I am shocked by that comparison.

However, calling "Blinding Lights" a ripoff of this? The quality of production and instrumentation and the complexity in "Blinding Lights" are way ahead of this.
