Not likely to shut down any time soon. This “article” is just click bait. For sure, the restaurant industry is volatile & people’s tastes change over time. Many once-famous brands fall by the wayside, but a whole lot of these businesses will still be clunking along 10 & 20 years from now even if they go thru a bunch of bankruptcies or change owners multiple times. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 75092756 United States 07/28/2021 02:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This article is over a year old, not to mention, they don’t tell you how many locations these businesses had before closing “more” or “more and more.” Seriously, whoever wrote that may have graduated high school, but they didn’t have a high GPA, and they never went on past that. The writing is terrible, the reporting is terrible, no information cited. Just a bad all around article. |

Quoting: Jackalope Yeah, realistically there are few restaurants that havent taken huge losses the last two years |

What surprises me are the really crappy mom and pop restaurants that have empty parking lots still running. I think it has to do with the corporate model that as soon as profits even hit one negative they are done. |

Hot fudge/Caramel/Pecans) shake. They had computerized ordering (yeech) and no "Turtle" shake. Had to settle for a "Snickers" bar shake with pieces of Snickers. Not the same...it was "ok" but could not match the Chocolate Hot Fudge and Caramel that was in the old one. Probably won't go back. I want my Turtle shake...I COMMAND IT! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 80454486 United States 07/28/2021 03:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why does this even matter, people need to slow the heck down and make their own meals. I say good-riddance to them all. The restaurant industry has seen a lot of ups and downs in recent years. Most recently it has suffered greatly at the hand of the global crisis we have all been a part of. The failure of the restaurant business has come in part by the wide range of choices consumers have, as well as labor shortages and high overhead costs. Quoting: Granny Shitposter According to the National Restaurant Association, some restaurants are not going to be able to recover from these losses and will have to close many, if not all of their locations. These are the major chains that are in serious danger of disappearing altogether. [link to blog.brjstyle.com (secure)] |
