I’ve been thinking about this greatly myself, and unfortunately every institution including the Catholic Church is hopelessly corrupt. Evil has penetrated and rotted out everything to the point only scattered individuals remain good and just.

I don’t trust anything anymore as a result. How can anyone when they bold face lie to us daily?

P.S. For Catholics, the fall of the institutional Church is a great scandal to overcome. Years ago Malachi Martin opined that he thought God might be done with the institutional Church. At the time his words were incomprehensible to me. Now they give me solace.

This must be the biggest bullshit I've ever read in this forum. To you the "rope" seems to be a tightrope as you're clearly overtly obsessive over the abyss, which is a whole another concept. The rope between animal and superhuman has always been likened more to a bridge than a tightrope. The abyss gazing back at you refers to dealing with so-called monsters and the danger of overcoming them, becoming them.

The rope between an animal and overman/superman refers to the Übermensch concept, in which man is either able to overcome one's animal sides/weaknesses and becoming a better and truer version of oneself, or by losing oneself to weaknesses one loses humanity and becomes more of an animal. It's a concept of renouncing and denouncing, of ascension and descent, of transcendence and decadence, winning or losing, up or down.

It's one thing to read books than to really understand them, especially Nietzsche, but don't worry, it's never easy to understand a mindset of a mental prodigy. To understand a madman, you'd have to have - a madman in yourself!

Be that as it may, your confusion begs to be cleared. Your "solution" of clinging to Christ is the most laughable solution to anything, least of all how to confront the crises of our age! You call it an answer for succumbing to depression and resignation, but it is the greatest succumbing in itself! Your redemption looks like carrying a cross while strolling in a graveyard - over graves!

You'd merely cast away your responsibility towards yourself and others and all of life and take refuge from beyond all that makes sense! Your wallowing doesn't make me angry, it's so absurd that it's merely amusing, more than watching any party animal doing any a trick!

You're trying so hard to appear to be deep by muddling your reason with different concepts so that no one can see the bottom of it. No wonder as it's merely a shallow puddle of mud in which you revel!
