I have been keeping my eye out for some in my area since these are good for almost everything you can think of. They are called the "mushroom of immortality." They can treat things like MS and Cancer. They are antimicrobial, antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral. Not a bad thing to have in the ol' medicine cabinet. |

HarMegiddo User ID: 79751988 United States 08/14/2021 04:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have what appears to me to be a staph infection on my elbow. Quoting: HarMegiddo I just searched home remedies and found quite a few. Of course apple cider vinegar, turmeric past, several others, but I wanted to kinda make an Indian band aid. So I went to the garden at 2am, plucked all the basil buds and squeezed them onto my elbow, then wrapped it in ace bandage. I'll report back. Btw, it's been lingering for weeks. Update. It's been 24 hours and I literally cannot believe it. It has subsided over 50%, it no longer appears infected. I have to re-think life...like, really, RE-THINK it... I've got to Ray Liotta my brain. Anonymous Coward User ID: 79702220 United States 08/14/2021 04:56 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I will start. Japanese Knotweed. Anyone suffering from lingering effects of Lymes Disease should look into this. I know the Lymes can "hide" in the body after antibiotic treatment and the Japanese Knotweed can help rid the body of this. Quoting: TheEmptyChild There’s a tick defense complex I tried and it’s no joke you have to take for 3 months or relapse. It works though. Grapefruit seed extract kills other bacteria. Gargling with zinc mouthwash helps me with first signs of throat dryness or tickle before it gets scratchy painful. Oregano oil has helped some clear lingering coughs. |

Natural anti biotic . It was used in World W 1 in the trenches to staff off infections applied topically . Of course it lowers blood pressure . It grows wild here in the South East . Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80682134 But I heard that straight garlic in the bloodstream can kill you. They used to put it on arrows to kill the enemy in Italy, I think it was. |

Mullein - oh, THAT's what that was a month ago? Be quick here in harvest time. Will relocate the plantain to spots that won't get mowed, use it as a garden or tree boundary in landscaping next to relocated lambs quarters. Mowing must happen for some stupid reason, but must be worked around purposefully so as not to lose the gold nuggets in the foraging. Tried my own harvested dandelion root in tea. Turned out great. THIS is my new hobby, especially now that supplements are being banned. Can't grow ginger root, though. Keep trying. Maybe need to buy online instead of store-bought trimmings. |

TheEmptyChild (OP) User ID: 79099098 United States 08/27/2021 11:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am looking into possible making a "double extraction" tincture with pine needles. I am still working on the details. It involves heating them in water for a long period of time...then soaking that whole thing in vodka. Like I said...still learning about this one. Certain things work better with alcohol AND water since different components of an herb are released depending on what you do to them! |

Chop a BUNCH of garlic...let it sit out for about 15 minutes so it starts to release it's juices. Put it in a jar and fill it to the top with apple cider vinegar. Leave this tincture in the fridge for about 2 months (start now). Every few days shake it a little. Take a spoonful of the vinegar every day. You'll probably stink but you'll be healthy! |

TheEmptyChild (OP) User ID: 29469609 United States 01/04/2022 06:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In case anyone checks back on this thread: Usnea...also known as Old Man's Beard is a powerful antibiotic. If you are interested in staying out of a hospital but are worried about needing antibiotics get yourself some Usnea tincture. I make my own and it is not difficult. It takes time because it has to sit for two months. That is why I am recommending buying some tincture that has already been made. It ONLY kills BAD bacteria so you will not destroy the balance in your body...particularly your gut. It fights pneumonia, tuberculosis and other respiratory illnesses. It is perfectly safe. It can be given to children and is as strong as doxycycline and penicillin. It has also been effective at killing certain parasites and fungus. I hope someone gets some help from this. Stay away from hospitals and learn how to heal yourself. |

Let’s GO User ID: 79695062 United States 01/04/2022 09:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Within the past 4 days, I have given mullein and yarrow to two people to do a steam for tight/painful chests due to congestion. One is a nurse and the other is a childhood neighbor that follows her doctor’s advice. Both used the herbs, surprisingly, and both felt better immediately. Better, but not 100%. They both are continuing to do the steams as needed. I just thought I’d post in case it might help someone else. |

If they are suffering from some sort of infection it will knock it out...no antibiotics necessary. |

If they are suffering from some sort of infection it will knock it out...no antibiotics necessary. Thanks. I have usnea but haven’t done anything with it yet. Too many herbs, too little time! It's really easy to make the tincture! Just fill a jar with Usnea and water...put it in a crock pot with water and a towel. Let the jar sit in there for 3 days until the water in the jar is halfway down. (You will have to keep replenishing the crock pot water.) Once it is halfway down take the jar out and let it cool just a bit. While it is still warm fill the jar the rest of the way with 100 proof vodka and close it up for 2 months. You might want to put some plastic between the jar and the lid since it can corrode sometimes. I was able to get 14 2oz bottles from one quart bottle. You take it like antibiotics: 2 droppers full per day for 3 weeks. I gave it to my mother and she thinks it may be helping with her chronic Lyme. |

Ghost Peppers doing well on my balcony/patio. Quoting: NotStarvingActress 1 small red ghost pepper added to my daily salad cures sinusitis. I think I know someone who grows Ghost Peppers. Please don't say Cranberry juice it does not work. The only remedy so far is a visit to my Doctor for antibiotics. I would so much prefer not to do this, and cure this myself.
