It is impossible to re-educate those who have so completely adhered to this ideology, they will keep revolting and never stop. The puppet masters know this, they are irredeemable and no more than useful idiots and so they must be purged or they will overthrow the communist regime they just helped install.

This is why the vaxx is being pushed so hard. Instead of firing squads in the dead of night they are using their blind obedience to get them to self purge.

Once enough have died then they will round us all up for re-education.

Thank you OP for launching this one.

I just finished Zhivago. Great book. Apocalyptic.

After the takeover there was mass famine, pestilence, plague. Trains parked on tracks and never moved again. Bands of homeless children drifted from town to town. In town, new laws were released daily and became increasingly absurd. People who were formally middle class were declared enemies of the state due to their prior economic standing, given kangaroo court trials, and imprisoned or executed. People caught hording food were executed on site. The intellectuals were re-educated and became partisan-talking-points-speaking robots. Dissidents were rounded up and shipped off to gulags, were worked to death and buried in unmarked mass graves. Life expectancy for even those that conformed cratered. Innovation screeched to a halt. Political corruption went parabolic.

Now I post all this to set the context. What it says in Dr. Zhivago is that early on people realized that drastic mistake had happened, that on a massive and widespread scale the general movement of society was in the wrong direction. But they didn't know what to do. They felt they couldn't correct it. This is to say, they knew it was madness, but the kept going, they doubled down on it, almost as if they were possessed with, say, a spirit of the times.

Now bear in mind, while that was going on there, capitalism in the U.S. had failed and there was a lot of the same happening. There just was more freedom. Yes you could end up on a dustbowl work brigade, but you didn't end up there because some time a long time back you spoke your mind to a neighbor who made a mental note of it and when the time came turned your name over to the secret police.

Thanks OP. A much more important thread than most realize.

Just an updoot because Dr. Zhivago the movie has always been my favorite. Yes you absolutely can compare what is happening now, but now the strife is mostly manufactured (by politicians/media to gain more power). Quality of life in the West and the world is mostly awesome compared to how it was 100 years ago even with the differences in economic class. There were much harsher conditions leading up to the revolution in Russia.
