Wife works for a major city and an emergency meeting is scheduled for Thursday to discuss a forced mask mandate and plans if there is another lockdown. All i got for now.

Anyone else work in state/local gov and hearing the same?

So what happens in Texas where Abbott refuses to enforce the mandates? Will he be forced to comply? If it gets ‘bad enough’ will he have change of heart?

Also—maybe businesses won’t shut down here in TX, but what about government entities i.e., courts etc. will they be more apt to shutter?

A former-fed, I'm blessed to be ten years into retirement so I've adjusted well to living on limited means [Soc/Sec and a federal annuity reduced by 50% since I GTFU and retired early at 59 after only 20 years of service]. I'm SO GLAD I don't have to work for a living - the fucking stress alone of having to jump through a new hoop everyday must be crushing to most workforces!

And as a long-term prepper I'm well-stocked there.

But, living a solitary life has been the greatest blessing of all: since I need little I don't have to interact with other people too much! So, the last lockdown and mask idiocy had little impact on my normal lifestyle. For example, a tank of gasoline will typically last me about two months and when I do shop it's to top of my inventory or snag an especially good deal!

Increasingly I've been ordering essentials [like pet food] online and simply having it delivered to spare me the aggravation of co-mingling in a world where science is now fiction and vice-versa!

Last Sunday my printer died so I ordered another one from WalMart's website -I haven't personally been in one of their stores for about two years. Delivery was not only free, but I placed my order at 1pm and it was at my door just before 6pm. I can EASILY live with that!

Bullshit! Its all about silencing the stolen election.

After seeing the kind of people that go inside Dairy Queen, I dont blame them for using any excuse to close that option down.

I had to get a new microwave yesterday. Greeters were giving out free mask as you enter the store.

"Will you wear this mask for me?" he asked as I entered the store.

I took the mask and put it in my pocket. I'd estimate that about 20% of shoppers were wearing mask.
