Trucking firms never train up a newb driver w-CDL because their investment can walk out the door. Yet they are now. That is a neon sign of a truck driver shortage. Robert Patrick Lewis Retweeted HUNTSMAN @man_integrated · They've been doing that since the implementation of the Commercial Drivers License. Nothing new. Driver shortage is manufactured and a direct result of Government regulation, government funding of driver training and the washout of drivers is not only expected but intended. Big money in CDL mills (training centers) and big corporate trucking companies make a lot of money training drivers because they do it a lot. |

No one ever ate anything by accident.” |

If you want to learn to drive a fucking truck, go to a community college to do it and then during that time you can shop around and learn a little about the company that is going to fuck you before you hire on. If you really, really want to do this... Look at refrigerated and find a company that will pay you a percentage as a second seat. You will make money and the fucking wheels will roll. Otherwise depending on how sadistic a dispatcher or "driver manager" you become paired with, you will get fucked quite often. |

Find it and in no time you'll be first seat and bringing home $1800.00 a week minimum, don't doubt me, it can be done and if you work it will become reality. Don't expect to go home much though... |

Cleaning the chicken muck from the truck and then making about 4 to 8 stops all along the west coast picking up a variety of vegetables and fruits (usually takes a day or two) and then hauling it back to Miami Florida. Can be done in 5 or 6 days. My best was 5 days. |

Most new drivers start in dry van and spend more time hunting an empty trailer and sitting in docks getting loaded or waiting than they do driving. You'll hear stories of detention pay and home time but remember this, All recruiters are basically liars. It is there job to get you in the seat. You'll never hear from them again once they do. |

I have hauled flatbed, oversize, reefer and am doing dry vans. I prefer dry vans. With trucking it's not so much do I love my job as how much bs am I willing to put up with? If my company's level of bs output is lower than what my bs tolerance is, then I am staying there. This goes for any job though. Trucking is much like the internet, there are many people whose experience is measured in weeks who speak the loudest with authority. |

Quoting: Kurnos Wait employers are gonna ask them to have the vax next ? That's business suicide right there. After our office mostly got vaxxed, it was decided that drivers were not going to be pushed on vaxxines. Guess they got lots and lots of side effects. Sucks to be them. Those that freaked out and ran scared to get vaxxed have already done so. The rest of us have all said we will quit if it is forced. |

I didn't get rich but averaged as company drive, their brand new condo, fuel taxes fines and tolls all paid by them around 52 a year. Was long hours but it's driving so not exactly hard work and they paid lumpers |
