Anonymous Coward User ID: 79772691 Australia 08/05/2021 04:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It’s is the tax they add to every gallon of gas you buy… Implementing a per user per mile charge is about putting in place all the tech to control who can go where and to penalise people with higher per mile fees if you’re deemed “unworthy” or have too low a social credit score. Travel within 10mile radius attracts x cents per mile. Travel outside and you get charged 5x cents per mile… the possibilities are endless, which are not possible by simply taxing the gas, which already achieves what they are apparently trying to achieve…. Not good. Not good at all. |

Until the masses put a stop to these rotten evil fucking politicians, it will keep getting worse. Term limits would be a good first step. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 12762317 “ Congress was meant to be a citizen legislature. Our representatives were supposed to go to Washington, serve for a short time, then return to live under the laws they made. This vision has been lost. Congress is now a haven for career politicians who put their own power, perks and privileges ahead of public service. Even worse, they are impossible to unseat thanks to cozy connections with lobbyists and special interests. This broken system needs repair. U.S. Term Limits is fighting to call a convention under Article V of the Constitution to propose an amendment for Term Limits on the U.S. House and Senate. If we do not act now, we may never be able to bring back government of, by and for the people. Congress has a 17 percent approval rating, but a 95% re-election rate. That's because our elected leaders can abuse their power to keep away electoral challenges, which transfers power away from citizens and into the hands of unaccountable career politicians. Only the rich will be able to travel. clearly it's not news to me because I said that they should replace the gas tax. like I said in my first sentence, retard.... doing it this way doesn't have to use GPS, make only the rich able to travel, or confine you to your home. each year you register your vehicle, you report your mileage. you pay a surcharge on miles traveled. if calculated legitimately, most people will probably pay less in that annual fee than in gas tax. think of all the idle time warming your vehicle, stuck at a stoplight, or mowing your lawn. if you only paid a tax on distance traveled, with a rate based on actual Capital improvement costs for public through ways, it would be cheaper that way. and only the operator of the vehicle would be paying the tax, would have nothing to do with any passenger or traveler on a bus or anything else. sometimes GLP has cream that rises to the top. other times, brian dead morans like you key smash.
