A strange thing happened at the post office today . . .
I reside in a Midwestern city. Today I went to the post office. The sign on the door said that masks were required. Given that it's a federal building, and I assumed it was federal policy, I grudgingly put on my mask and went inside.

Well, inside a lot of folks had no masks on. But get this . . . the tellers at the windows weren't wearing masks either.

It was a great feeling. I think even the federal employees are saying enough -- we're not going to be following these stupid federal rules any longer!

A bit of hopium for Saturday.

I won't give the location as I don't want to get employees in trouble.

OP just imagine this.

It’s been like this since may 2020 where I live.

Employees never wore masks. Not even in federal buildings.

Wild how different it is in different areas huh

Reminds me of the capitol, where the house is requesting to wear a mask, but 40 feet away in the senate you’re not required.

Weird how it’s so specific who and when it targets…

I don't think the majority of people will fall for the lock-down, isolation, social distancing, and masking this time. I mean, what choices do people have?

1. You've had COVID and have some immunity
2. You've had the shot and have some immunity
3. You've had the shot and have no immunity, so you either make the decision to retire from life or deal with life and its consequences.
4. You've not had the shot and will deal with life and its consequences.

Re: A strange thing happened at the post office today . . .
I went to my usual post office where there have been two awesome clerks for years. All the sheeple had masks on, but I don't wear one; I know they not only don't help, but cause more harm than good.

Turned out one of the good clerks transferred, and only the new one was at the counter. When it was my turn she demanded I put a mask on; I told her that I had a condition that made it dangerous for me to wear one. (True - I'm healthy and want to stay that way!) She started yelling at me, so to shut her up I grudgingly put one over my mouth (the one and ONLY time I ever used one). She continued yelling at me, telling me to put it over my nose, and when I told her I couldn't breath she pulled out a huge bottle of Lysol, and began to spray it all over me - not a quick spritz, but for at least 5 seconds. I shouted at her that she was going to cause me to have a respiratoy episode, and she'd have to call 911. She nastily replied that I could just wait for the other clerk to return, because she wasn't serving me. Fine with me - I told her I'd be happy to deal with someone who had a brain. The bitch pulls out her Lysol again, and again sprayed it directly at me for even longer than the first time.

As I said I'm healthy, but any idiot knows you don't spray an aerosol at anyone, regardless of whether they have a health problem or not. I couldn't quite breath normally for the next three days.

As soon as I got home I filed a complaint with the Postmaster General, and told them they'd be hearing from my attorney if I had to go to the hospital because of what that stupid woman did. To my surprise got a call from the supervisor the next day, apologizing for the idiot. The usual BS - "She's a mother with young children, and is afraid of getting sick."

Yeah, well...she needs to be more afraid of someone punching her in the face! If she's so afraid of a virus with a 99.8% survival rate she should just stay home wrapped in plastic with six masks on and huddle under her bed!

Oh yeah - she also tried to charge me $14 and change to send a small (greeting card size) envelope to Russia; the actual cost was a little over $2, which is what the other clerk charged me.

That's the trouble with the USPS - all the deadwood, worthless employees that it's pretty near impossible to get rid of, short of their killing someone!

Needless to say, I won't ever go back to that particular post office!

Exactly why people are still dying. Just stay the fuck away from my family. It's pretty pathetic, grown ass people can't follow safety rules. No wonder kids are fucked up.

I think that they pissed off the postal workers last week. I don't think that they will get the cooperation that they were expecting from postal workers, going forward.

You can be happy about not wearing a mask but I said over a year ago that the actual time for masks would be post vaccination.
