Hmmm....well, I could see the whole pole flip gig happening once shit gets under way this week w/ the whole 'test of EBS system,' our navy doing 'exercises' in 17 countries, election audit reports roll out. Pole flip when NZ is like a magnet and planes full of scurrying rats hit the islands.  Fleeing to an island if poles flip is as stupid as it gets. Even if they go deep underground a pole flip would submerge NZ and other islands with water in a matter of minutes. And thats not even factoring the large volcano that could also blow in such an event. The only safe spots for a pole flip are high elevation points away from coastal regions of all directions and that includes large bodies of water like the Great Lakes. Always figured NZ was one of the prime spots for rats fleeing but yeah, not smart geographic move. Unless they're counting on the DUMBs but that is problematic as you pointed out. Am seeing news where weather pros are saying in few days a wave of warmer air from Australia will help alleviate the artic conditions they're having now.
