Preferred Pronouns in the Workplace...CLOWN WORLD
My step-son works for a Tier 1 automotive supplier, recently a new company wide HR mandate called for Preferred Pronouns to be used when addressing co-workers in all intercompany email. His position requires email use all day, so it's been an adjustment to say the least, but then this happens...

He received an email addressing He/She/They, now given that his position is also strictly confidential in many cases, kept only between the two persons communicating, he questioned the sender on what the They meant. He didn't understand, and was concerned that there was more than just the sender communicating within the email. Legit concern, right?

He received a very VERY nasty response from the sender stating that they were greatly offended, that he/she identified as They and was subsequently accused of being a racist white supremacist. A short while later he was then called in for a meeting with his boss and his/her/they's boss, right on up the ladder, and was severely reprimanded as well as being threatened with being terminated as well as socially cancelled.

This shit may fly in the white-collar world, but I can see a major blue-collar backlash coming in the not so distant future.

This is the whole idea. Why do you think they sold you all those bullets?

They are using their own "gimps" to rile themselves up until they/you go "I can't take it anymore!!" and start shooting.

That's my theory.

Took him days to calm down, he's still unsettled and now uncomfortable with his job. Unfortunately it's a great, high paying job to boot, so it's not so easy just to walk away. In the end he may have to though.

How have you dealt with it?

Oh yeah forgot to mention...

You won't be blaming your "gimps". You will blame it on "clowns".

You hate clowns for some odd reason that you aren't even allowed to know why.

They promote, but do not require, the use of those ridiculous pronouns in the autosignatures of people at my work. Sadly, many have bought into it and do just that. I refuse to do so because I will never give in to the PC bullshit. There are only TWO genders: Male and Female. No more, no less. Anyone who feels otherwise just can’t accept reality.

Just asking what “they” means sent them into a tizzy. Because they probably can’t explain what they means anyway because they are just using it as a means to bully people! It probably made they’s day that they finally got to let their bullying out on someone, finally!

So you can program a key command to insert text. A shortcut key for things like your email address etc.

I programmed the following text with a key command: “(The pronoun often preferred by humans who for some reason either do not know or cannot decide between ‘he’ or ‘she,’ not the pronoun traditionally used to refer to many people or the plural of ‘he’ or ‘she’)”

Then, every time I have to use the silly preferred pronoun, I paste the shortcut text above. Makes the email so annoying to read, and is an effective passive protest to the new preferred pronoun policy.

Kinda like slapping a “HONK IF YOU ARE NOT A RACIST!” Bumper sticker on your favorite libs car. Highlights the stupidity.

Tier 1 Corporations:
Bosch, Denso, Magna International, Aisin Seiki, Hyundai Mobis, Faurecia S.A., Continental, ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Aisin Seiki, Lear, and Valeo S.A.

Guessing it was one of these. Not exactly easy for consumers to boycott their actions, would require a major corporate account objecting. I don't see that happening.

What does "he received an email adressing he/she/They" actually mean ..

Like..it said as an example "They said no to this." (When ordinarily it would say "He said no to this." Right?

Bur then the sender is gettung or worked up in behalf of the 'they' person, and not him/herself, right?

Is this what you mean?

No, the They was the sender, it replied with He/She/They which caused him to question how many people were reading the email.
