find the point of pain.
goto the OPPOSITE side and press exactly on that point (or get someone to do that for you).
it should hurt (and surprise you) if you do it correctly
repeat a few times. relax and try not to tense up.
report your findings.

Make sure you keep it warm now, and just rest drink water, and repeat later. I found this out when once getting trigger point massage, i started arguing with the masseuse - "NO ITS THE OTHER SIDE!"
