My son is not vaccinated but he just got diagnosed with COVID. The only symptoms he had was a cough. No fever, no loss of sense or smell. He thought he had a cold.

I thought the CDC said the tests do not work. Something it took us humans all of about a week to figure out a year ago.

So they only count breakthrough cases that result in hospitalization or death.

So 350 of 470 cases in one outbreak were fully vaccinated.

It's a 1.05% death rate. I went through all the math the other day from the CDC site:

total reported deaths to date: 612,958

612,958/35,392,284 = 0.0173 x 100 = 1.73 %

Pretty much six to one, half-dozen to the other. Vaxxed or not...about 1780 dead per 100,000. Those numbers in MA are not that different.

I'm from Massachusetts and just got over COVID. Other than the first two days (which really sucked,) and still having no sense of smell after three weeks, it is much like a bad cold.

And no, I did not take the vaccine, nor did I go to the doctor. Both of my roommates caught it too, neither of them have the vaccine, and they are fully recovered.

There seems to be no upside to taking this vaccine, especially considering the recovery rate associated with this cold-like virus
