Can you go camping under 18? It depends. State parks will not issue permits or give campground reservations to anyone under 18 years old. Minors must also be accompanied by adults. Private campgrounds may have different age restrictions. For dispersed camping in National Forest, there are no age restrictions.

But what about those who commit suicide in the “long term”? Those who drink or drug themselves to death over a number of years, what about them? They may suffer from abuse, or from unbearable pressures associated with their domestic arrangements or at work. They may determine that the easiest and most “socially acceptable” way of easing this pressure or pain, is to get drunk or to get “stoned” on a regular basis. It may take some time but in possibly 5 or 10 years they will be dead. The emotional (and economic) “cost” of this (“long-term suicide”) far exceeds that of any number of “quick” suicides.

Those missing pets were on the menu for coyotes, bears, and mountain lions.

Because generally when someone gives the disclaimer it's for entertainment purposes...that means they're actually partially/mostly/or even completely serious and just trying to avoid the bans/moderation/social stigma/negative reaction they would receive if they said they were 100% serious as opposed to 'theoretical'.

As a kid (11 or 12) me and my friends got lost in the underground drainage tunnels beneath Henderson, NV (a cursory search of said tunnels below Las Vegas, NV will give you an idea how massive these things were.

Billions of tons of dirt over our head. 100, 200 feet upward to the surface. Stuck in a tunnel five feet high by three feet by three feet. It had been two hours since we entered, and we had been walking since.

Our phones, of course, wouldn't work. I myself was freaking out 'cause I was gonna be late getting home...and then I realized...I'm not getting home. Not ever.

No one knows we're here. Even if they did...what could they do? Dig to us? No, no - the predicament we were in was past every adult and the police and the fire department and even the full force of the friggin' feds to solve. What was worse...not only would we die...we would die there and nobody would know about it. Nobody would find our bodies. Nobody would have been trying to save us. Nobody would know if we were even dead. Just...disappeared - like one of thousands do every year.

We eventually ran into a couple - one male one female. Homeless. Junkies. Malnourished. They led us out.

We were lucky because junkies live in drainage tunnels around Las Vegas. They don't around deep cave networks in national parks.

Oh...I didn't mean to come off as offensive. I honestly wasn't trying to appear patronizing or anything - sometimes I just communicate in the wrong way without realizing I shouldn't do it that way.
