This image was acquired on Aug. 11, 2021 (Sol 169).
A green rectangle (at right) marks a side of an artificial wooden block on Mars? All arrows point to remains of wood cells.

1. Rocks/minerals don't break/erode/form into such morphology (note the arrows), no matter they are clays, silt, sand grains, or small rocks.

2. Some people may think they are tufa. Tufa often contains remains of plant cells. However, those remains of plant cells include longitudinal as well as cross sections of plant cells, not just cross sections of plant cells. The following photos show mostly cross sections of plant cells. It is very unlikely that nature alone arrange remains of plant cells in cross-sections only.
