While in line to pick it up I saw and heard three (3) people ask for the COVID booster shots. They were all asked which vaccination they had had and told that the booster shots were not yet available. Each of the three seemed to not understand this and while one was pretty indignant all three (3) asked some form of "Well, where can I get it if you don't have it?" They were all told to try back again in a couple of weeks! Quoting: comob GLP, did I miss something? Is the booster already approved and out there?" Some observational demographics (this was at a pharmacy) they were all caucasian and over 60+ They haven't started the booster program in the US yet, but like the Walgreens people were saying, it won’t be long. Two weeks is probably about right. They’ve been talking about it on the news for a while, though, and those people you saw are the true believers. They are the same people who waited in drive-ins for four hours back in January. They can’t get their boosters fast enough. I had a older couple Late 80's early 90's ( very good friend ) tell me both had the 3rd one last wk. My question is if the booster is not available in the US what in this world did these folks get? Is the booster for sure not available? Can folks accidentally take more that the #1 and #2 or something? Who keeps track of who takes what? You get a older "scared" couple with a touch of dementia whats to stop them from walking in and getting all the brands? These folks took something as both looked like death.
