Islam is 57 (and growing) countries that extend from Northern Africa, deep to Tanzania, across the Middle East and Southeast Asia to Indonesia.

Collectively they have ONE principle and LAW. Those are not the same as the West. Islam doesn't follow Roman/Christian Rules of Law or Rules of War.
