Some of what Desteni espouses is good. They're a mishmosh group that borrows from just about every newage idea from the last 40 years. Probably the worst thing they've done is put a very young woman as their front person pretending to channel various people and even animals in a very obviously fake and unbelievable way. This kind of theatrics truly hurts their cause and ruins any credibility they could have for some of their better ideas. Self honesty and other terms similar to this also makes them look ignorant and uneducated. Just "honesty" or even "truthfulness" is good enough. Self honesty makes it sound like truth is limited to them being honest with themselves, but dishonest with others. Equal Money also is one of those naive, emotional responses to the world that has no real foundation in reality. Is Communism equal money? Socialism? Early Christianity? (Let each take what is needed). Just this simple idea will not at all impact the world. I've seen much more thought-out ideas (such as the socialism tried in Russia) that have fallen on their faces for lack of scientific method. Give a man x amount of dollars to work hard all day or give a man the same amount to do as he wishes and many will sit around and drink Vodka all day as was the case in Russia. I think maybe a ceiling on wealth needs to be enforced so that there could be some semblance of fairness, but without incentive, excellence will fall into decay. Plus the day of the heirarchical group is over, the last big movement, that of Ammachi, has lost it's steam because it's a trickle up system. Ammachi gets all the glory and everyone else is lesser. Only something truly intelligent will ever last.
