I saw this a few months back near Paducah bridge on I24. Semi blocked one lane of the road and no one could pass. We drove through a construction area orderly and at a steady pace. It was a good idea really.

These truckers in detroit just sound pissed to me

The sooner we get AI drivers for Trucks the better.

Why? Trucks are the annoying ones always using the left lane and making it impossible to see up ahead

Man you people won't be happy until you get your Skynet. Who do you think powers and programs the algorithms for AI??? Most companies is AI and robotics are not benevolent institutions.

They're protesting a mandatory work vaxx.

Truckers have to pass a yearly physical with DOT but they are insisting they will have to get the jab. This is all truckers can do to refuse the jab.

I’m a trucker and my company hasn’t even worn masks, let alone ask for a jab.
My DOT isn’t for another year. And I’m excited to finally get enough hometime for my garden.

I don't mind if they are having some sort of protest, I get that. But flipping off other motorists makes no sense. The idea of protests is to spread awareness of an injustice, not to make enemies of would be allies. Seems a bit off.

Truckers plan Aug. 31 protest against mandatory COVID vaccines


According to social media posts by members of some trucking groups, a number of drivers plan to idle or slow their rigs to a crawl on Tuesday, Aug. 31, in protest of mandatory workplace COVID-19 vaccinations and virus-related travel restrictions.

Although it’s unclear just how many truckers will actually participate in the one-day protest, social media groups, including StopTheTires2020 and The Disrespected Trucker on Facebook, both primarily followed by professional drivers, seem to be supporting the effort.

There is currently no known nationwide movement to require mandatory vaccines for truckers. Several major corporations such as Walmart and Tyson, which employ thousands of truck drivers, have mandated the vaccine for some workers but, as of now, not for their transportation fleet employees.
