Friend tells me the Arizona Desert is GREEN and Blooming!! From my time living out there that only happened in March after the winter rains. It is unheard of for the desert to be green in the summer!!

Here in the eastern Midwest we are doing FINE!!

The upper Great Lakes are up near their historic highs, in some places MAKING historic highs this summer, so there is plenty of water for our rich NON IRRIGATED farm land. Crop yields per acre in my area should be near record highs when the crops come in later this fall.

California, the Colorado River Watershed, and the watersheds up through Idaho may be in a drought but much of the rest of the US, where most of the grains and crops to feed the animals are grown, is doing OK water wise.

People move to a desert climate ... and then complain there is a DROUGHT!!

The ONLY reason people can live in that desert, low rainfall, environment is because they IMPORT WATER from hundreds of miles away NOT because the "LOCAL" rains stopped.

A hiccup in the water supply hundreds of miles away and suddenly THE SKY IS FALLING!!

Want water? Move EAST for goodness sake!! Plenty of natural rainfall in the eastern 1/2 of the country.

Out here in the Eastern 1/2 of the country we do NOT import our water from hundreds of miles away ... we have plenty just down the road, Thank You.

(and WHY they use water to FARM in the desert, where there is NOT enough NATURAL local water to farm is something I have never understood)
