This morning I called a high school buddy who works at a massive Chevrolet dealership to make an appointment to have my rotators and brakes changed on one of my vehicles… …a Tahoe… …and according to him, it will take at least two-weeks, if I am lucky, to get the parts in, because all Chevrolet parts have been on back order since May of this year; and no sign of them ever getting restocked.

I’ve had a recall on my Chevy truck for over six months now…something about how the passenger airbag could fire shrapnel (screws and such) when deployed. Fairly terrifying stuff…especially for my passenger. Still NO ETA on repairs due to a lack of parts.

Ramen Noodle is pretty damn cheap. Stock up on cases of that for hard times. If you have to skip or lower a cc payment for a month. Hope you aren't one of those that let the vendor have access to your bank account at will.

Yeah, it’s absolutely exhausting, and as a business owner, I have struggled to obtain resources and products, so I have had to shrink and scale back, and rearrange my storefronts so that they do not look so damn empty.

And not to mention how the dealerships can’t get any cars, either. All the lots look sad and bare.

It used to be that the used lot was their money maker and the service department was their bread and butter.

Expect MASSIVE closures and bankruptcies in that sector. And before anyone starts on ‘Big Auto,’ those businesses will be fine…or at least get another round of bailouts. It’s the dealers who will be hurt…small businesses…local businesses who hire locally. This will severely hurt a LOT of people all over the place. People who have made their entire career working in one place.

In some places it will get so bad armed gangs will be waiting outside grocery stores waiting to rob pillage

Most government people are doing less than they were doing 2 years ago, and even then they were doing very little. A lot of private sector people sitting on their hands because they can't get supplies.

This will all start to crumble soon.
