The reason 6% of their studied group had AIDS was because that particular outbreak happened in Provincetown, and Provincetown is almost exclusively gay men.
I’m as antivax as it gets, but those dudes had AIDS long before they got the shot, not because of it.
It’s kind of a distinction without much difference, though. ADE is pretty much AIDS.
