Instead, look for "please make a donation to the Cancer Fund" or similar for a clue as to the cause of death.
Used to be, if a person died "suddenly" or "unexpectedly" without further explanation, it was a suicide.
Accidents used the word "tragically".
I don't know the lingo now, but I do know that younger decades appear to be dying more frequently than maybe 3 years ago.
Many newspaper people got started writing obits, in the old days. Now families write them.
