i can't afford to eat at restaurants, go to concerts, go out in general

We are about a month, maybe two, behind where Australia is now. It's coming for us, we're just too naive or trusting to see it.

We don’t actually have permanent office, when lockdowns started the bank did not extend the lease on several buildings downtown Toronto which is a very smart move.

They are now building a shared office space (will probably take at least 6-9 months to finish) but there will be no permanent desks for most IT people.

At this moment they are doing the experimental return to office for those who really want to be in the office but last week the condition of attending the office changed to “fully vaccinated only”.

Basically at this stage I am trying to save as much money as possible, I make all copies of their vax emails and policies.

They are not that stupid, even if everybody starts mandating vax in banks, we have close to one year when most of the people can still work from home.

With no permanent office space it would be very difficult to mandate vax for all remote workers (even in socialist/fascist country as Canada).

They know that they are going to lose at least 30% of workforce if they mandate vax on remote workers. I bet there will be companies that can absorb them gladly (although with loss in salary).

The troubling thing is that most of my co-workers are actually double-jabbed and we had conversations with them last year how all this plandemic is staged and obviously false.

My wife is secretly double-jabbed. She truly believe that if I catch this virus I am going to die.

The more troubling thing is that she really believes that my son needs this jab to be saved once mandated (he is still too young for current mandates) and there is nothing I can do here. Government will be on her side 100% when time comes. And she is actually a smart person, also on IT business.

We have four kids too, I feel so vulnerable sometimes. I want to take them hide in the woods til the storm passes. But of coarse that’s not how life works.

I absolutely agree. I no longer want to hang out with anyone who has been Vaxxed. I feel they will throw me under the bus in a heartbeat!

Sad reality - even my now ex boyfriend made the choice to get double Vaxxed. It ruined our relationship and I don't feel safe around him anymore.

I have since met like minded people and it's absolutely reassuring.

A similar situation already happened in Hong Kong back in 2019 when the people were fighting the commie gov there known as the yellow ribbon movement. The people for the commie gov were known as blue ribbon.

So what ended up happening was that the yellow ribbon crowd built their own so-called economic circle, the people only gave their business to places that supported the same cause.

In the end when covid hit right after the movement lost momentum by the end of 2019, whether yellow or blue they all suffered. By 2020 a ton of businesses perished due to lockdowns and lack of tourism.

I'm very sure now that whoever is behind this whole thing used HK as a test run. Once HK was fallen they went ahead and pulled a similar thing on the rest of the world. HK people were too soft and lost the fight.

Don't let this happen at our doorsteps.

I’m in Ontario and starting in a few weeks I will no longer be legally allowed in many in door setting - dining in, event centre, sports events, casinos and a number of other similar venues. We’re getting vax passports and I’m unvaxxed so I’m now a lesser class of person. This is a really inconceivable thing to wrap my head around. I am a 80s kid from Canada and have been fed crap my entire life about how amazing, open minded and diverse our country is. Our differences are supposed to be our strength.

This is a lot to process to be honest. And I don’t feel like most of my
peers are really acknowledging that this is a thing bc I feel like the average person should have an issue with it and they don’t.

Thanks for the replies, I think I have hope long term but it feels like a massive mountain to climb is ahead of us. I have this daunting feeling like a storm is coming and that it’s probably going to get worse before it gets better. It’s all so exhausting emotionally and I’m someone who is fairly good at doing my own thing and not really caring what others do. I have friends who are nurses and teachers who are struggling so much bc they aren’t really go against the grain types and now they find themselves on the wrong side of things.

I would pack up the family and start new somewhere else but I don’t think think that place exist right now. I’m trying to gather myself and my strength for what’s certain to be a challenging time.

The vaccines don't prevent infection, they don't prevent subsequent transmission, and they barely protect against a covid infection. In fact we are seeing more and more severe covid infections among the vaccinated as documented by the CDC, NHS, NIH and others.

My college just made it mandatory for all students & visitors. Pretty much decided to quit studying because I refuse to pay a dime to anyone supporting this BS, and if continues beyond, I'll drop out completely.

I remember in 1995 when the cringy "Hepatitis B is a real bad rap" was played to my class. Was forced to get that jab & neuro and psych issues showed up which never went away. Fcked up my adolescence. Never again.

And now Ontario only permits two medical exceptions, allergies to ingredients or suffered sides to the first dose.

The fact they mandate this shit, while big pharma is shielded from being sued is icing on the cake.

I live in Gatineau, Quebec. Passports are here. I don't attend bars, gyms, restaurants and my job lets me work from home. I hope I can avoid the jab for at least 2 years in the hopes it's stopped before then.

Seeing what is happening to the country I grew up in, is sad. I'm voting Conservative, but I seriously doubt the Conservatives are going to stop this madness.
