I want to give Hoft the benefit of the doubt and got nothing against someone being a homosexual, but damn. That's just not right, even if it was a little girl 30 years his junior.

Yep. Even if Hoft hooked up with a young women from the Philippines, that would make me uneasy too.

There's a saying that you can judge a person's character by the type of person he or she dates and gets married to.

Hoft comes off on very shaky ground. But if he somehow manages to hold onto sociopolitically conservative biases and principles, I'd still favor him to a person in a textbook, storybook hetero marriage but who's a flaming liberal.

The GLBT tends to incubate liberal reactions and leftwing biases in most people. Not all, but most.

Although there are staunch conservative GLBTers, they're the rare exception to the rule. Most of the GLBT is flaming, not so much in terms of their homosexuality or bisexuality, but in terms of their political liberalism.

I still have more confidence in GP because it's generally of the right versus all the lousy liberal websites out there. My main concern is it doesn't start dabbling in sleazy liberalism the way the Drudgereport has done.
