I have disabled the "Automatic full stop after typing two white spaces" functionality, but the phone still does it. It's infuriating. I type text and the phone inserts full stops between words. Then I have to go back and correct. How do I fix it?

Typing on a touch screen is hell. Give me an old IBM PS/2 keyboard, instead. Rock solid and excellent tactile feedback. I can type a book's worth of text in 8 hours with it. Touch screens? Writing just a paragraph of text is hell.
