Or is it futile as pretty much everything will tank along with it except for food gas shelter which will skyrocket due to supply line shortages? |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 79869233 United States 09/10/2021 05:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah, that has been obvious for quite some time. But what is going on now is unprecedented, we have a president with the mentality to burn it all down and start over. The forced covid vax will create a huge impact in the companies ability to get things out as well as the trucking, shipping industry, well pretty much everyone except for maybe Hollywood. |

It's going to tank, and soon. Whether they blame the mandates or what, I don't care. I'll buy back in at that time. In the meantime, commodities and crypto. Just added to crypto heavily, so I'm leaving it alone. Going heavy on copper, wheat, corn, and coffee. When we get a big dip, I watch DJI and SPX for a bottom, then buy into stocks. I'm 99.9% sure we are going to have a massive crash and very soon. If our country gets back to normal I will buy back in then at a much lower price. Same here stacking some crypto I have done very well with that and I think this mandate etc. will push crypto even higher in the near future. I have never invested in commodities but yeah that makes a lot of sense with what is happening. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78726751 United States 09/10/2021 05:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There's certainly an interesting dynamic in play here. The fact of the matter is there just aren't any jobs to be had, relatively speaking. The jobs available statistic is simply made up. While that sounds rather simplistic, it's true. There's some useful data in relative terms, as in we can see there are more openings than during the pandemic, but the data also proves that those are in the services sector, and are largely being filled by teenagers. So now that the CARES act benefits are ending, it's going to become immediately apparent that there are no jobs, and that this recovery is a complete farce. But they have two excuses lined up. First the great resignation, and now the great rejection (as in rejection of the vax). And what's interesting is that those leaving their jobs for not getting vaxxed, they can be simultaneously counted among the antivaxxers and the great resignators. So the media will be able to talk out both sides of its mouth. On the one hand, they will be able to say the great resignation was a massive success in sticking it to these fat cat capitalists, but on the other hand, they can then turn around ten minutes later and blame the worker shortage on the antivaxxers. So the antivaxxers will be falsely used for communist propaganda, while at the same time taking the blame for a problem that's simply got nothing whatsoever to do with them. It also redistributes what few jobs are left to the good little boys and girls who go get their vax, and disproportionately punishes and marginalizes anyone who's not a bootlicking piece of shit. |

In a Friday statement, the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) voiced support for the mandate. AAFA has already achieved 100% vaccination across its staff. “The only way to address the economic fallout from COVID-19 is to resolve the underlying health crisis that we have been dealing with for the past year-and-a-half,” said AAFA president and CEO Steve Lamar in a statement. “These steps will go a long way to ensure that we are getting vaccines in arms, and that we can protect our workforce from this disease that has already cost the world so much.” Edwin Egee, the VP of government relations and workforce development at the National Retail Federation, said in a statement to FN that the organization appreciates “the administration’s commitment to ensuring workplaces are safe despite the ongoing challenges of the pandemic.” Egee said the NRF will work with the Labor Department as the rule is enforced . “The industry will continue to encourage Americans to voluntarily protect their own well-being and that of their families by getting vaccinated,” Egee said. “Several of our members have implemented policies mandating vaccinations for some or all of their employees, while others are offering monetary incentives and paid time off.” The Business Roundtable, a lobbyist group whose members include CEOs from Nike, Walmart, Target, also voiced support for the mandate in a Thursday statement. Anonymous Coward User ID: 78836215 Netherlands 09/10/2021 06:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Biden's vaccine mandate could be a shot in the arm for U.S. economy, experts say President Joe Biden's sweeping vaccine mandate aims to protect more Americans from COVID-19 by requiring that millions of employees at large companies get the shot. Beyond boosting public health, the mandate has another goal: To get the U.S. economic recovery back on track after the Delta variant's spread crimped job growth and consumer confidence. "Without a doubt, the main stranglehold on the economy and the labor market is the virus," said Ben Zipperer, an economist at the left-leaning Economic Policy Institute. "What that means is, if we want to actually increase employment opportunity, increase the size of the economy and get the size of the labor market back to its pre-pandemic level, we need to get control of the virus — and that includes vaccine mandates." Employees at big companies will likely feel more comfortable returning to the workplace if they know their co-workers are vaccinated, Zipperer noted. About half of Americans say they favor COVID-19 vaccine mandates for employees working in person at their workplace, according to a recent survey from the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. "These new measures of either vaccination or weekly testing will help employers fill open positions by ensuring potential employees feel safe returning to work as well as support consumer demand as customers will equally feel more comfortable shopping and dining out again," Gusto economist Luke Pardue noted. I think the official vaccine numbers are not based on reality. When you remove 50% of the population from the game things will get real fast. The Govt and the MSM (who are one in the same now)are trying to use it as, see all these people got vaccinated why haven't you. This creates even more distrust. If Biden goes through with stopping air travel as has been reported here and elsewhere for unvaxxed the airlines can be screwed overnight. I just can't see anything positive coming out of this in the near future and I believe in sell hi by low.
