Looks like a blockage was cleared. Big wave of lava pouring out now and you can see some larger rock chunks in it.

Hard to say with the view from this camera but I know there is at least one other vent opened on the other side of the one we are seeing here. I would suspect there are 3-5 vents open but until they get another drone up in the am we can't tell.

What is the best earthquake app? I have QuakeFeed but it isnt showing any of the recent quakes on La Palma and I don’t know why. Is there a better app anyone can recommend? Thanks in advance!

I see at least two in your upper left link... The main vent is so out of control tonight it's easy to miss the one in front...it's just in an effusive state so you have to look close.

The original source material talks about gravity waves in the atmosphere.

If the slide goes in the direction most think it will, the primary push will be away from Africa, across the Atlantic. Densely populated Bermuda would be target number one.

From what I have read, even a super-slide would lose most of it’s energy traveling to the Americas, the results something like the effect of the Indonesian Tsunami on Ceylon, and the east coast of India.

Had there been even the most basic early warnings in place, the death tolls would have been MUCH lighter there, people would not have been crammed into trains running along the beach, or following the outflow to collect the beached fish for dinner.

In the America’s, the Southern Caribbean would likely be the hardest hit after Bermuda, with the Bahamas taking catastrophic damages. For the US, some flooding in the normal hurricane surge areas, maybe a little higher. As always, a surge at the top of a bay is always worse.

They would have to receive feeds from the folks monitoring LaPalma. As an example, USGS does not....
