[12:02h] Lock-Down ongoing for El Paso, Los Llanos and Tazacorte due to bad air quality. Values are slowly decreasing. El Paso had extremely high 2.600 μg/m³ this morning at 9h, now alarming 755 μg/m³.

[12:33h] Thermals started and they are mixing in fresh air from the sea, thus decreasing the SO2 values steadily. El Paso left and Los Llanos on the right side. I am sure, in an hour we will see good levels again.

I've been watching this thing from day 1 and something just got my attention.

Since like a half hour now the back vent is throwing ash up in the higher atmosphere so imagine if you will the amount of pressure (en matter expansion) which is needed to do that and the stress it must put on the entire volcanic system.

However.......

No matter how much pressure is on the main vent and the back vents every other vent on CV is NOT affected by the hyperactive, explosive vents producing all the ash. Even that small steaming vent on the right flank of CV doesn't seem to be affected and is just doing it's own thing. As does the front vent. Little or no effect when Big Brother Vent is angry.

So is it safe to say that we are dealing with several (independent) "zones" with it's own activity? If so it wouldn't matter if CV will slow down or even go back to sleep. I mean right now there is no letting up regarding lava flow, new vents and fissure opening and closing continuously all over the place.........

This is getting complicated.
