How hot is the magma, and is it hot enough to burn through the existing rock?
 Quoting: Shrop

The heat to burn through/melt rock: "It takes temperatures between 600 and 1,300 degrees Celsius (1,100 and 2,400 degrees Fahrenheit) to melt a rock, turning it into a substance called magma (molten rock)."

[link to www.learner.org (secure)]

According to google the temperature of Magma:

"Magma is extremely hot—between 700° and 1,300° Celsius (1,292° and 2,372° Fahrenheit)"

[link to www.nationalgeographic.org (secure)]

With that being said, I suspect it is already hot enough to melt/burn through rock.. The process, this is just a guess, not a vocanologist, but it is already slowly burning the rocks around it/under it turning it into more magma.

that existing rock is all new, the mound you see is from the vent. Imagine a giant pool of lava under that where the land once was and you'd be pretty close to reality.

I can see that whole mound falling in soon to open it up.

Also think why they have to force this stupid jab on so hard just to get a whole bunch of people walking off their jobs and stay home. Maybe this is to save a portion of the labor in case the ones manning the fort manage to perish due to this "event". Then this displaced labor will have to be called back in an instance to help out.
 Quoting: krayzie

I was wondering yesterday if in the event of a mass emergency (where ppl need to take planes and or public transport to get away from the threat), they would only let the 'jabbed' people move around freely.

In other words, the unvaxxed have to stay put and only vaxxed can travel.

Can you imagine the chaos if that happened?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80812511

Early on I was thinking that well back in WW1 and WW2 we did not have a travelling industry like we have today, so they will use a pandemic to get everybody to go home to spend the last days. If it is because of WW3 well that wouldn't make any sense, it has to be something natural occurring that the controlling elites worldwide are shitting their pants about.

That Israeli News dude's wife said last year the jab could be some sort of homing device to locate people after the "event". Sounds too out there at first.

Also that John Moore dude once said it's probably safest to be at least 600 feet above sea level. Where I'm at is 580 feet by the Great Lakes I hope that 20 feet can be easily forgiven lol!
 Quoting: krayzie

I am in Hammond, Indiana, at the southern tip of Lake Michigan. I am about 4 miles from the lake, at 600ft elevation. I am good !

I am a bit inland on the Coast of VA.

The Canary Islands Seismic Network has been registering a strong increase in the amplitude of the volcanic tremor since the last 4 hours, which is an indicator of the intensity of the strombolian explosive activity in the active mouths (vents) at this time

Holy shit. That cone is going to be blown apart, it's anyone's guess where all that lava is going to go once it does. Huge projectiles in the foreground and to the left of the cone, been watching since the first blast on Sunday and this is the most violent it's been.

Registered an account solely because of this thread. Fucking legendary. Been watching it since around the 13th. I’ve set 5 alarms every night…since Cumbre Vieja Ridge started venting…to wake up every hour or so and check here for updates. My gratitude to everyone who is working hard to monitor the crisis and contributing Open Source info for the good of mankind. You are appreciated.

I am a former First Responder. I can tell you that really bad shit happens so suddenly that it seems to not be “real” to observers- and the “freeze” reaction of the Fight/Flight/Freeze instinct is powerful in human psychology. When/if the fracture zone splashes down, if you are affected, execute your bug out plan immediately. DO NOT wait, DO NOT let Normalcy Bias control you. If your stuff isn’t packed already, then quickly grab whoever and whatever is most important to you and get inland. The majority of our population is unaware of the crisis or the risk and they will only react after a delay…if they feel forced to…although this threat is novel enough that a certain percentage will respond with panic. The US Government will most likely suppress any information until it’s too late. You are on your own- YOU and your ability to stay on top of this are your ONLY early warning system.

No fear. No regrets. Never look back.

This is such wise advice.

There used to be a guy on here years back whose name was Scott with BUG (Believer's Underground). His 'thing' was Post Glacial Rebound. He had a quote that has stuck with me all these years:

"Information is Shock Resistance."

That's why I'm sitting here hitting refresh over and over, taking in all of the info and analyzing...but you can bet when I see the signs of TSHTF, I'll be the first one out there topping off my supplies before the crowd realizes what's happening and chaos ensues. Then I'll hunker down and watch it all play out until my 'hillbilly connection' poops out. (Love that term...it's so fitting. Had no internet for 2 hours this morning during the heavy rain!) But...it sure beats the heck out NO connection.

The blasé small-talk in the background is annoying to me. I watched a LOT of the Japanese tsunami videos and at least they were good for a lot of terrified/awestruck “ooooooohhhhs’ during the events. I don’t understand the language, but these people sound like they’re at a cocktail party.

Lol I completely agree.

I understand a tiny bit of Spanish, but when it is spoken quickly and in large doses, it gives me a headache. No idea why. I can listen to other languages for hours, and I'm OK.

My significant other watches European football on Spanish language tv, and I have to leave the house sometimes bc it's so annoying.

Maybe it's the speed of speaking and them yelling 'GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL' every 5 mins, that plucks my last nerve. I don't know.

Haha.

I am tempted to run two streams at once, use one for the audio and one for the video that way I can try and get rid of the delay in sound due to the distance from the events.

I'm pretty sure there's a 2-3 second delay

Seems like new vents are opening which should help releive pressure but also means the pressure idols fracturing the base of the volcano and it seems to be more of an explosive eruption... could go either way but scary none the less.
