Yes, it will wrap around Florida and head into the Gulf. Will not be anything like what hits the East Coast, and we are behind a 12 ft seawall, but even a 9 meter tsunami will blow over that.

I'd rather default to safety on that one. It's only a 2 hour drive back down, and my kids will be able to laugh at Doomy Mom for years if nothing happens.

Your escape plan could include a $60/nt. room in an AirB&B in Sky Valley, GA at 3,500 ft, a 12-hour drive from Miami up to the Georgia mountains, as mentioned here. If this hits high and hard, you might want to be somewhere for a few days if you can. Just, plan that vacay, like, right now. High elevation.

We have 2 properties in GA in the mountains. I'm ready to head out at the moments notice. I'd leave now but if nothing happens the P.O. isn't going to like the lack of notice for my quick departure. Ugh the Man I tell you!
